About Music for Aardvarks
Music for Aardvarks is distinct from other children’s music programs in that all classes are based around David Weinstone’s original songs, rhythms, and chants. Created in 1997
, Aardvarks classes quickly grew popularity leading Weinstone to begin licensing his original songs and teaching methods.
Ryan Christopher began as a teacher for Sivan Vigder's highly popular Music for Manhattan classes in 2015, and later founded Manhattan Aardvarks in 2018 when Sivan decided to pursue other opportunities.
Manhattan Aardvarks offers in-person music classes to the Upper West and Upper East sides of Manhattan as well as live-streamed classes worldwide.
Manhattan Aardvarks is geared towards children aged six months to four years and incorporates a wide variety of musical activities including singing, dancing, musical story telling, instrumental jam sessions and musical puppet play.
With influences of rock, blues, ballads, folk, jazz and pop, Manhattan Aardvarks classes uniquely reflect and celebrate the lives of children growing up in an urban environment, as well as more traditional themes universal to all children.
The music is innovative, intelligent, and irresistibly appealing to both kids and their parents. But don’t just take our word for it – hear it for yourself!
